Description
A Geographic Point of Interest is a specific location that someone may find useful or interesting. The point of interest can be a point (latitude/longitude) or a polygon (whose vertices are latitudes/logitude pairs). All coordinates use the WGS84 cooridnate system.

A unique identifer for the point of interest. This can be used to uniquely identify the point of interest when a POI is joined to another dataset.

The binary representation of the point of interest, which can be a point or a polygon. The polygon can be joined by other geometry types.
