Register a Snowflake table or view as a Narrative dataset from SQL, without the native app's Configuration screen. Resolves the installed Narrative app and the source object, checks the app has a warehouse, shows the exact CALL for approval, registers the object, and reports success only once the dataset's mapping row exists and the platform reports it active. Every registration is reported with the statement that undoes it.
Not for installing or configuring the native app, or for querying a dataset that already exists.
| Argument | Required / Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
--object <db.schema.name> | Optional | Fully qualified source table or view. If omitted, the skill asks. |
--display-name <text> | Optional | Dataset name on the platform. Must be unique among registered datasets. If omitted, the skill asks — it is never invented. |
--machine-name <text> | Optional | The dataset's machine name. Optional; Snowflake defaults it to the display name with every character that is not a letter, number or underscore replaced by an underscore. |
--description <text> | Optional | Free text stored on the dataset. Omitted when not supplied. |
--app <application> | Default: NARRATIVE_DATA_COLLABORATION | The installed native app. Verified before use; discovered with SHOW APPLICATIONS only when the default does not resolve. |
